Here is another layout I did for a challenge on the Sistas Blog. There are many songs and poems I have that I want to scrap but I settled on this one. This picture is hanging in my living room and I decided to make a copy of it for this challenge.

Happy Belated Mother’s Day!

Yesterday was a pretty long day! Me & the fam headed to New Jersey to see Mommy and have brunch some of my brothers & sisters. It's a yearly get together we started since she left. It's only the 2nd time but I'm hoping we can keep this tradition going. I know she's happy to see us laughing and having a good time. She always enjoyed having us all together.

After much fustration, I'm done with my Mom's day card - Whew! Something so simple can be such a headache....

A Minute To Vent

I told someone that I would not use this blog to post personal problems, but I just gotta vent for a moment. Why do black women scrutinize each other so much? We can’t just smile or greet each other with a “hello” or “good morning” – no, we have to give ourselves the “up & down” and see if we’re worthy for common courtesy. I go to the gym in the morning, and I’ll be in the locker room – BUTT NAKED – and sistas will walk by me, lock eyes with me, and utter nothing. Yet I’ll watch other women, who don’t each other, hold a conversation or just extend a pleasant greeting. I say my “good mornings” to everyone but it really irritates me to watch how other women be so cordial to each other (and us) yet we as black women act as if we’re letting our guard down if we are friendly or at least lose the attitude toward our own kind.

That’s it, I’m done. PLEASE post your comments. I don’t want to believe that true sistahood is lost.
