My Baby Girl

I normally don't post pics of my family but my heart is filled with such pride and joy, that I wanted to share this moment. I showed you the postcard I did for my daughter while she was away at Basic Training - well she graduated on Friday and I attended the ceremony in San Antonio.

To say that I'm proud of her is a gross understatement. As I'm typing this, my eyes are filled with tears of happiness. She's my first born and seeing her in uniform made me realize that she's a woman now who I'll have to let go and let grow. Wow! This will be way more difficult for me, I think, than her. But I know in time it will get easier. It has to because I can't walk around crying all the time.....people will think I'm crazy. :-)

My Sleepy Superhero

Platinum Scraps had a color challenge this week. I used pictures of my angel in last year's Halloween outfit. I was all ready to take her out and she fell asleep on me! The skyline is from the Cricut Sampler and Super Woman is a SCAL cut. Check out some of the other creations over on PS TFL....

The Fix It Guy

Earlier this month Platinum Scraps had a challenge to use Basic Grey's Vagabond paper in a layout. I used pictures of my dusty hubby for this layout. All the cuts are from the Handy Man cartridge.

Postcards

Hello Everyone!

These last few weeks have been filled with ups & downs and thus, my hobby took a back seat. I'm trying to get back into doing a few things but (sigh) it's been tough! Any who.....a special day came over the summer....my baby girl followed her mother's footsteps and enlisted into the Air Force! Ok, she's 20 years old but she'll always be my baby girl.... and I'm so proud of her! I sent her a card each week and here's one of them. The butterfly is a cut from the Serenade cart using the packaging the cartridges came in. Here's the tutorial I did back in April.

I also made one for someone else in her flight. They both graduate from Basic Training on Friday so I'll be in San Antonio with camera in hand :-)
