GASC In Virginia
I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Dulles, Virginia and I had a ball! After eight hours, my head was spinning and my feet was sore but I'll be there again next year..... Here are a few things I won, made and bought.

One Lovely Blog Award...FOR ME!
Tammy over at Creative Critters Cricut Club gave me an award! Thank you very very much Tammy! Here are the rules:
1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
2) Pass the award to 10 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered.
Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award. There are so many beautiful blogs out there. It’s hard to narrow it down to 10 but here goes:
1. Indigo Inklings I’ve learned a lot of Cuttlebug tricks
2. The Midnight Artist Teri has taught me a lot of neat tricks too
3. Black Diamonds Love her MJ tribute
4. Treva's Craft Corner I enjoy her Layouts…I like to call them “simple but lovely”
5. Nik Pik Cards Her blog is new to me but I like what I’ve seen so far
6. Inkcicles
7. It's a Family Affair
8. Ikki's cuttlebug cupboard
9. Step into Nita's World
10. Technique Zone Another good site to learn a few techniques
Most of the blogs that I selected for this award are fairly new blogs or at least new to me. They all have great content... cute projects and LOVELY BLOGS! I encourage you to check them out... and when you do, tell them that Shelly sent ya!

Happy Father's Day
I did this card for my hubby on Father's Day. Teri is a CTMH consultant and I did this card at one of her card making get togethers. She taught us the embossing technique. I added a few embellishments to the card. I made a few mistakes but.....it's from the heart!

Gifts For Matt's Teachers
My youngest son, Matthew is moving on to High School next year. Since I didn't do anything for the Teacher's Appreciation Day, I made little Thank You boxes for him to give to them. They're supposed Ghirardelli boxes but after I made the first one (purple), I realized that they were too small. The next four I made bigger to hold more chocolate!
You know, I truly believe that teachers, in particular junior high and high school teachers, are the most underpaid, undervalued and underappreciated professionals in the working industry. When I was younger, I wanted to be teacher. But when I got older I realized that you must have patience, willpower and even courage to work with some of today's children. Hats off to those who are raising tomorrow's leaders.....

Father's Day Cards
Here are two shirt cards I did for the weekly Sista's Challenge. I'll probably give them to my brothers for Father's Day. I actually did a third one but I just can't get the stamping right!
